Lumia App Labs #5: Develop apps that work for both Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7

In this Lumia App Lab Michael Samarin, Director Developer Training and Evangelism, at Finnish company Futurice introduces you to the methods you can use to update your Windows Phone 7 applications so they will run on Windows Phone 8. He'll also describe how to create a Windows Phone 8 application and make it work for Windows Phone 7 users. In addition to providing an overview to the approaches to multirelease compatibility, Michael also presents useful tips and tricks to help you make the most of the market for Windows Phone apps.

Nokia Lumia never beat Android and IOS, there's lot of Disadvantages of Lumia, without Zune PC never detect this device, Video didnt support from other mobiles, Cannot send videos to other mobiles, Need to improve more Option, Cannot rename files, cannot store Phonebook in phone memory rather than Windows Live.

Be aware, if you use Portable Class Library, DotFuscator Free edition for Windows Phone will no longer obfuscate the libraries that are now PCL. They will be silently excluded from obfuscation (no warning). So your business code that you want to protect the most, is now compiled in the clear. I abandoned PCL after all the work to separate the code, after realizing this. I hope this changes in the future.
