“The public has greatly over-estimated the possibilities of the aeroplane, imagining that in another generation they will be able to fly over to London in a day. This is manifestly impossible.” - William Pickering, Harvard University 1908

  • Really great video! It is an exciting time for us mere mortals. I wish all the NewSpace companies the best of luck. Ad Astra!

PS: Sorry for breaking Rule 14.

  • I would do this!

  • what? no parachutes incase worst comes to worst? No abort system? Same with having oxygen masks and personal parachutes. looks pretty good so far....

  • too dangerous this flight. I doubt to realize.

  • haha,, i thought they were going to have sex up there !!!

  • I believe it cost a little over 100,000 for a suborbital flight. They will also be offereing orbital spaceflights and lunar missions. There was a really good article I read recently on the logistics of space tourism. I can't remember if I found the link on twitter or if I read it in Discover Mag. or American Scientific.

  • Honeymoon would be stupendous!...please tell me there's a special zipper in those suits for easy access, right?

  • for those who want to wait have fun waiting, space flights now are where open cockpit flights were decades ago, I will go on either one in a minute

  • @gaetanomarano Its not up to the FAA, Im sure plenty of these companies would willingly take their business else where and the US cant afford to be out of this potential technological gold mine.

Also I believe I read a story not too long ago about the FAA beginning their space commercial transport certifications

  • Can't wait!
