SO if cold reading doesn't exist then that means that when magicians or skeptics say they are doing a cold reading they are really talking to dead people and passing it off as cold reading?

Sure, not all mediums use cold reading. Some use hot reading "they already know" and some just say stuff so general you can't tell who it is targeted at.

The critical mistake you're making in this video is the insistance that there's no such thing as cold reading. (Also, your claim that Randi is "evil" which is an unecessary and vindictive judgment to make about someone which I find deplorable, but that's not the issue).

Of course cold reading exists, non-psychics have demonstrated it thousands of times. If they can do it, everyone can do it, and that includes true psychics, if they do exist.

I don't agree with you when you say "There's no such thing as a cold reading." - because there is. It's a proven and valid technique for scamming people. BUT, I think you maybe mean there is no such thing as cold reading if you're a true psychic. And with that I agree. Thanks for posting, I've added this to my blog on my website. It must be hard to tell what is cold reading, because when somone says somthing that appears cold or general you can't tell what the "psycic" actually see's.

well, dont be completely gullible now...all because james randi might expose a fake or even "assume" on others, doesn't make it that "all" supernatural phenomenom is fake. there's one vid where james randi makes an "all inclusive" generalization on evangelists, yet he cant explain how the evangelist got a person's name. yes, making a general statement to a crowd of 300 is one thing, but going to a person and getting his name is a whole nother ball game. randi had no explanation. so use mind

Is there any way to find out whether someon has psychic abilities? And if there is then shouldnt "real psychics" be the first to demand only people how pass this test are allowed to work as psyhchics, to get rid of all those who are not honest.
