I think he mentioned him. The song has a Randy newman feel to it and I could just be making that up. It really moves me... on my worst days. I just want to express how special that night was. We had listened to Toad the Wet Sprocket in college and we all liked them. This concert was a special night for all of us... a reunion. The music and atmosphere was so perfect and I'll always hold a special place in my heart for that night. Magical, really. Thank you for posting this song. Love, Tracee
I remember the first time I heard this song. It was Boston. An intimate location with friends I hadn't seen in a long time. I requested "I Will Not Take These Things For Granted," very nervously, and he played it. It was my favorite. Then, later on, I heard this. I put both of these songs on many mix Cds. I met him afterward and babbled about how much I liked Don't Need Anything. I described it but I didn't even know the name of it. Something in the way back of my head says Randy Newman...
