Lahir 2009: Rubinpaul Singh

Lahir 2009 was an open mic night event held in remembrance and commemoration of 25 years since the Indian governments attack on Harmandir Sahib during Operation Blue Star in 1984, and the genocide of the Sikhs that followed consequently.

An estimated crowd of 250 people was present on this day at the University of Maryland (shady grove) and the youth spoke strongly about human rights violations, oppression, and genocide. Performances included poetry, spoken word, rap, singing, dhadi vaar, and much more.

Special thanks to the D.C. Sikh Youth who diligently worked hard to make this event a huge success.
