  • consider back then in 1999 this is how technology was. And whats even shocking, I graduated from college back in 1999 while working at CompUSA in the Apple hardware division! I even bought my 1st G4 350 sawtooth there!

  • At first at 2:40 I thought is said ATI Rape Mobility

  • Haha! The Apple logo on the top is still inverted when the notebook's opened.

  • I want an iBook!! ;-) :-) , i have an eMac with: Mac OS 9.2 and Mac OS 10.3 (codenamed "Panther")

  • Which was released in 2001, two years later. Also, ATI made better cards (many would argue they still do) back then. More dedicated memory doesn't inherently give a better card.

  • The clamshell batteries kind of sucked though...I remember when the clamshells we had at my school were only 3-4 years old and they were already incapable of doing more than half an hour of portable use...some were even worse. The batteries in today's Mac notebooks are far more superior, even if they don't have the battery life (which is impossible by today's standards). The fact that they can handle all of the power needs and last for six hours is amazing.

  • compare that to the macboo air

  • The fastest graphics card in the world: 4 mb of ram! My nVidia GeForce 2 MX/MX400 has 32 mb of ram...

  • The current MacBooks are abit more sophisticated.

    a) Faster processor

    b) Blue-tooth

    c) Wireless

    d) Brighter and better display

Probably alot more things! That's going to eat battery life as you didn't get those 9years ago. ;-)

  • The iBook looks so fun. It's interesting to note how much more 'serious' their notebooks look now.

  • 6 hour battery life! That is better than the current apple notebooks and this was 9 years ago!
