Laran Bronze Fine Arts Foundry in Chester, Pennsylvania. Laran Bronze has been in business for over 25 years and was the primary bronze foundry for the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. First the ceramic shells are buried in sand, then molten silica bronze is poured from the induction furnace to the portable ladel. • Our furnance is electric, the assumption is correct, we pour 8 to 10 shells at a time depending on their size and we are just an art foundry, no industrial products.

  • is it an electric furnance or it burns with gas?

  • @greencheapsk8 - i am assuming that their are a few different shells being poured in the same barrel. Easier to pour them all at once i guess?

  • I wana do this for a job :D

Why the seperate pouring funnels at 2:30 ?

  • Is this just an arts foundry, or does it produce industrial bronze products as well?
