Lol the germans always surrender so easily without a fight in these hollywood movies

you know, playing football against each other is much nicer than the whole war thing we had going on back then. progress!

How would those surrendering Germans know that was the "last" bomb exploding? How would they know those planes wouldn't return to strafe them? A bit careless of them to walk out so swiftly, I think.
This is a so-so WW2 movie. Some good battle sequences with a lot of hammy acting by overpaid actors. And the SON BRIDGE is depicted as a tiny bridge that would never support tanks! The real Son bridge was comparable to the one at Nijmegen and Arnhem.

@MrBandholm What stories would you rather tell.. Shermans mauling the germans or hundreds of ford transits invade Russia?
-
Air support! Blow up that forest! ... Yes ALL of it!

@madosopia I agree, but still ...
Americans have the last few years taken too much credit for fighting against germany how far the toughest battles were on the eastern front, but the ones who really won the fight were factory workers in the U.S.
because the USSR was busy making tanks (understandably) but it meant that the USSR could make major offensives (which broke Germany) were trucks delivered from the U.S. which Russia never talk about

@AlexeyKutsnetsov not because it must be a great discussion, but Cromwell was actually better armored and had 44 also has a 75 mm cannon, the same goes for Churchill tanks ...
Interesting enough, it was Sherman's actually not well armed as the long gun is a British 17 pounder, which both Cromwell and Churchill was also equipped with at the end of 44
das sind deutsche Soldaten..........!
