During a News Broadcast the anchors and audience learn that the world is going to end by a super-solar storm. All life will vanish in a matter of moments. Humanity's last moments caught on tape! ~~ A pre-apocalyptic mix of science and media. ~~ This video was created at Rutgers University in Camden, NJ by Justin Silverman (a freelance video artist) and a mix of current students, alumni, and professors at said University. All actors are experienced and paid. ~~ The content of this project is 100% original with the script by Justin Silverman, Robert Emmons, and Samantha Rose, the audio and music by Luke Polidora, and the graphics and video by Justin Silverman and Mark Neumann. This whole project was brought to life by mainly three people, so please let your criticism match this. ~~ Super-solar storms are a real threat to this planet, please research them! ~~ If you would like to request a DVD copy or give me any feedback or ask questions please e-mail me at justinalansilverman@gmail.com ~~ I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

  • A 'Super Flare" cannot reach the earth but the CME are the items that can wipe out our electrical system. Note no such heat from the sun would ever reach the earth until the sun expands and that is around 900 million yrs from now.

  • OMG WE HAVE TO MAKE BOMB SHELTERS

  • Oh, my God! This is the end of the world! Shocking!

  • oh, by the way...WTXR is a radio station in Toccoa Falls, Georgia. I know this Solar Storm is a threat, but this video is just as lame as the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Mets and Cindy Crosby. Bruce, Anansi: which scares you more? Tony Romo, David Wright, Cindy Crosby, Terrell Owens or a super-solar storm? If there is a super-solar storm, the only victims should be the DALLAS COWBOYS and their fans.

  • Gee, Bruce and Anansi...would you like to work for MSNBC or CNN? I recall there was going to be the JUPITER EFFECT back in '82, and NOTHING HAPPENED. If you want hype that was fulfilled, Bruce and Anansi should talk about Stephen Strasburg's performance against the Pirates. This Super Solar Storm is just as possible as Paul Pierce saying "WE ARE NOT GOING BACK TO L.A." during this years NBA Finals. By the way: FBC7Phila's website doesn't exist. But there is CN8... Lynn Doyle thinks this is lame!

  • This video possibly was made by the people who work at WEEKLY WORLD NEWS. This and that Zombie Epidemic video were made by people who think WEEKLY WORLD NEWS is better than FOX News. Hey Bruce: WEEKLY WORLD NEWS called. This was a hoax, ok?

  • Cute, but if you show a gun in the first act, it Must go off in the third. I need to see some kind of destruction OR If you used the static as the exclamation point only once, at the end, I think it would be more effective. What about a young family, husband and wife and baby in the kitchen, the wife is feeding the baby while the husband and wife are arguing over some BS, while this news report plays in the background? Just a thought.

  • Justin,

    Are you my Justin? JOSS?

  • original, it was done well, at first i was going to say something about the sound... But it works, the only thing i can think of is if you are using final cut studio 2, take the project into color and tweak it alittle, maybe even at the end

to make the distortion even more convincing,

    keep the passion going

    don't stop-

    Seth

  • hey justin, this was really good! you 3 did a nice job, especially with the graphics, even the news graphics look accurate to a real news station. my one crit would be that some of the anchors spoke waaaay too slowly. im partial to this because of my internship, but anchors talk very fast because of how much they have to squeeze into a short amount of time. the traffic reporter and the male co-anchor were the most convincing. that being said, i think this came out very well. congrats :-)
