Goya Candelario, spokesperson of ProGay Philippines, together with members of ProGay Metro Baguio and MASKARA Caloocan, marched with thousands of transport workers, trade unionists, women's rights organizations, health workers, students, urban poor and religious orders on the Presidential Palace on 31 March. They demanded the control of rapidly rising prices of oil products, and the scrapping of the Oil Deregulation Law, which was blamed for making oil unaffordable and allowing the cartel of multinational petroleum companies to dictate prices. They also demanded the hiking of the minimum wage and the nationalization of the oil industry.
