i was listening to this pastor yesterday who was preaching how the world, in the midst of crisis, is quick to flee. there are few who are willing to confront a situation; to persevere through trials, no matter how sacrificial the consequences. there are many who, in the face of danger (or challenge), grow fearsome and retreat. they become filled with doubt. or sometimes, rather than facing going through "the storm," they'd rather sweep the problem under a rug, or stuff it in a closet, and just ignore it.

the pastor went on to say that as Christians, though, we were designed in such a way that we have the courage we need to face these "storms." not only that, but we have a promise that even through these storms, God is on the other end preparing something greater for your perseverance. He is building up your faith.

when i read the lyrics to this song, the line, "i will praise You in this storm. i will lift my hands, for You are who You are, no matter where i've been," reminded me of this verse in 1 Thessalonians 5. it says, "in everything, give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." God has a plan for you, and your storms are only to build up your faith and endurance. so, as the song encourages us, thank God in advance and praise Him through your storm.

I started playing it with am, g, c, d a and capo 5 and realized you didn't use a capo or its lower and I cant see it but it matches up just the chords on mine are higher
