WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas, geared at a non-atheist audience. It is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin. The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

    - "hey dumb asses dont you remember that the father of scientific laws newton isaac< said . . . and einstien said he wanted to think how god thinks so what deos that mean?"

It means that you are a lousy speller who is apparently trying to make a lame argument from authority. What Newton said and what Einstein wanted is irrelevant. Both are known to have been very wrong about a few things, so all that matters is what they could prove and how much of their theories still stand today.

  • @Lindemann04109 "What do you say to a christian to shut them up in a debate?"

Debate requires logic. The typical Christian debater does not apply logic to topics of religion.

Primarily I find it is most useful to be well versed in the Bible. If you can cite 'chapter and verse', they get frustrated that their minister/preacher/priest so misled them. They may realize they should read and research on the Bible, which will either shut them up or cause them to no longer be a Christian.

  • @codyjames01111 While There is much value in what you said about a hopeful future, no one should go around acting as if it were 100% true already. People who make the assumption that they already have a great home/family/life are as deluded as the guy who thinks and acts as if he were Joan of Arc. In any case other than religious faith, these people would be locked up. ...And they constantly throw their unfounded beliefs on others (eg. anti-contraceptive, homophobia, mysogeny).

  • @drfoxcourt It would be annoying though, if I went around and said, "hey, I have kids and have a great paying job, have a house on the beach, and I don't even need health insurance I am so healthy!" Well, could I prove that to you NOW? Unfortunately, I can't. But I DO believe that it's going to happen, when that time comes.

  • @drfoxcourt I have my beliefs and others will have theirs. But there's nothing wrong with believing in anything; It gives hope to people, i.e., I believe that one day I will have kids and a white picket-fenced house, on the California coast, with a upper middle-class job and NO health issues. But do I know that this will ALL be true? NO. Do I believe it will be true? Yes. And is there anything wrong with that? NOPE.

  • @drfoxcourt I never mind the religious types that take it as a belief, and nothing more. I just cant stand when they rub those beliefs off on myself when they know that they do not have any proof. I think people can believe whatever they want to. Just, don't throw your beliefs on me because I do not want to hear any of it.

  • @TheAtheistExperience This is totally true. Even the MOST brilliant minds in the world have been wrong in their theories and hypotheses before. What if we were still arguing about the world being flat? Luckily, that was PROVEN to be false. There is no proof what so ever that any religion has a grasp on what is real and what is not real in their teachings. The only question I have, is, how can there be something created out of nothing? That's the only question that stumps me.

Princess Celestia is an evil monarch that oppresses her people and sent her sister to the moon! Rebel! For the great lunar republic!

  • @Z6D4C4 Made me laugh and smile :) you made my day :)

  • I'm only fourteen years old, and I love this show very much. I find the arguments that are brought up in this show by some of the callers are completely ridicoulus, and yet kind of funny. I'm an agnosticatheist myself, yet this show has taught me alot. Thank you!

  • @youthank8 I'm a Celestian. Princess Celestia brings up the sun every morning as Princess Luna follows behind her with the moon. :3

  • @THEMAKDON Demons? Please. More superstitious bullshit.
