2004 Delphi Indy 300

Gonna step away from the NASCAR for a little while and take a look at some open wheel races in my collection. Starting off with race 14 of the 2004 IRL season which brought them to Chicagoland Speedway. This race is famous for plenty of things, but mostly the excessive amount of contact between the cars. Usually not a good sign. But enjoy!

I can't believe they got rid of this track. I went there every year for the Indy race from 07-10, and the racing was by far better than anything i've ever seen there. I'm no longer an Indy fan just because they let this track go.

@pacmancucumber1783 I went to every Indy race there since the track opened. While I was disappointed I heard a rumor that it might be back on the schedule in 2012 along with a couple other ISC tracks.

@pacmancucumber1783 Yeah, ISC wanted more NASCAR races on them, which guess who owns ISC? NASCAR/France family. The racing at some of the tracks was always great, but ISC wouldn't promote the races as they should have, but they cited loss of money and low attendance. Those would've been resolved if all they did was promote.
