Chapter 15: Part 2 of the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword 100% Video Walkthrough. In this video Link will face off with The Imprisoned for a second time.

will he escape when you not do the skyward strike to the spike for too long

you can also use the air thing to get above it, jump on its head and strike down the piller

Why didn't they make it so you get heart containers from the first and second fight with the Imprisoned? Those heart container medals are hogging valuable space in your adventure pouch. =/

What happens if you don't get down to the middle ground quickly enough after beating him? I'm a bit more than1/2 done Hero Mode, and after I do the Fire Sanctuary, I'll find out. Doesn't sound good though, that's fasho!
