LDN saw its biggest show on the 24th of November 2007, Legends Showdown at a sold out Broxbourne Civic Hall.

We proudly present round one of the Johnny Saint vs Johnny Kidd match. A match that many are tipping to be the best technical bout of 2007 anywhere.

The entire event featuring Johnny Saint, Johnny Kidd, Brian Maxine, Kendo Nagasaki and many more will be on general release in the new year.

  • johnny saint is a legend, pure technique, a superb wrestler, thanks for posting

  • Honestly, I'm of the impression that the best wrestlers do come from Europe. No offense to any American, Mexican, or Japanese wrestlers, but watching these two is so fascinating. Its pure competition, and as the commentator mentioned, it is silky smooth. These two are some of the best in the world today, and I'm glad that I could see just one round.

  • @astrosteve Lou Thesz stated in several interviews(if you search, you can find one of them on YouTube) that he thought the best wrestlers in the world come from England, I have no doubt it was from watching gentlemen like Johnny Saint in action.

  • Johnny Saint Great as ever. Superb wrestler and a legend, he`s up there with the Royal brothers in my opinion.

  • @glendunbar Chikara Pro just had Johnny Saint vs Johnny Kidd this past weekend (7/30 and 7/31)...my mind was blown watching them in action.

  • The British style strikes me as something that requires a lot of thought, more subtle than the American style. As a indy wrestler would have loved to have had the oppurtunity to go there, but alas it was not to be.

  • What kind of wrestling is this? More of a realistic version of wrestling with rounds and everything and no punches

  • Now, to hunt for Johnny Saint vs Les Kellet!

  • So, this is Pure wrestling. Some of it looks slightly bizarre to me (1:58-2:07), but overall I think it's pretty good. Definitely a change of pace from what I normally watch. (Japanese junior heavyweights, lucha, etc. The really acrobatic stuff.) i definitely like this, though. May have to hunt down more. Sort of curious how Lou Thesz would have fared in a match like this, though. Pretty well, I bet.

  • The bout starts at 0:53, but the vid is only 5:14. Give the time keeper a public warning!
