I have added some plant bulbs and the growth time is 3 weeks i think, but the bulbs seems to be gettting kinda hairy ...is that how they grow and am i supposed to feed the plants anything ?

what kind of plant is it..it depends on type of plant,wheather u're using CO2 or not, lighting u got in your aquarium etc. I am adding CO2 and have plenty of lighting (aproximately 1W to 1l) of water and in that case plants are growing very fast and they need to be fed once in a while.
