This is a video chronicle of a Red-Tailed Hawk chick from one to six weeks, after hatching in its nest high in a Saguaro cactus. It has all been condensed into an sub eleven minute video with other wildlife scenes mixed in. I do very little talking during this video and try to let the pictures speak for themselves.

  • @wilsocn Haha!! Yeah man, pretty bold even at just four weeks.

  • Nice job! It is amazing how quickly they grow. I'll have to check out the owl one.

(I'm a little partial to owls:)

  • @heykayde Yes, it was a treat to see and document. I hope the owl series blesses you as well.

  • I love the way they blink. Its looks like a camera shutter.

  • @its0a0me They're amazing creatures for sure! You might enjoy the Wilderness Owl Adventure Series as well. Some ultra close up footage with my newest camera in those videos... Thanks for watching!

  • @Cr0cket20 Thank you! These birds really are magnificent. As an aviation enthusiast, I really enjoyed watching her flight dynamics in action. The level of sophistication and precision in her little airframe is quite extraordinary. Thanks again, I really appreciate your views.

  • Hey Patriot, you put together one helluva video. Now I really don't know a lot about birds, but I have a thing for birds of prey. Love to watch them in flight. Those close ups were cool of the mom. You could actually see her using her tail as a rudder. Thanks for posting, very fun to watch.

  • I enjoyed watching the video till the end... and I like the soundtrack you used at the end part! what song is that?

  • @Nezzy3180 This was the old camera which I now use as a back-up. Canon SX20IS. I now shoot a dedicated camcorder Panasonic HDC SD-60 which can be viewed in my Wilderness Owl Adventure Series. Thanks for watching!

  • I was just wondering what kind of camera you are using?

  • @bwbarn Thanks very much! I'm going to have to call you "spoiled" since you get to work with these animals often! Glad you enjoyed the footage.
