Learn more: http://www.avid.com/ama/?cmpid=youtube While you can greatly speed up your tapeless workflows with AMA (Avid Media Access), there are times when youll want to move that source material to Avid storage. For high production projects, you can easily consolidate and transcode file-based footage to your local drive or Avid shared storage in DNxHD format for better real-time performance, color correction, and compositing. If you have to redo an edit, simply remount the original XDCAM, P2, or GFPAK volume and re-link your sequences. And if your camera team is still in the field, you can jumpstart the editing by having the team send you low-res proxies of the footage to work on offline, then re-link your work to the high-res material once you have it.
