Teresa in Concert at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong, in January, 1982. During the concert, a man goes onstage to present Teresa with a bouquet of flowers. He went on to say how, on the first night he arrived in Hong Kong, 2 years earlier, he heard the song "When will you return?" by Teresa. A moving conversation ensued.

Before he went offstage, Teresa wished him well and hoped he would find happiness in Hong Kong. She could be so sweet, caring and sincere to a stranger. This is one of the nicest things I remember about her.

This is a reload. The last time I uploaded this song, I only included an explanation of the dialogue. It was not subtitled because at that time, I had not learnt how to add subtitles properly.

This live recording and slide show is dedicated to all my friends here on youtube who are not fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese.

Thank you for sharing.

  • another day where n unexpected video of Teresa pulls at every emotion in me. Thanks so much for posting this. The Teresa Teng community is filled with so many wonderful people who spread her love everywhere, to everyone. 35 years after being introduced to Teresa and her presence still brings magic and joy.

  • Hi, David, you are welcome. I'm glad you enjoy the upload. It's good to hear from you again. Have you been back to Taiwan for visits?

    Jeremy

  • Jeremy, you are lucky you did have a chance to meet her. She was a really adorable woman, the tipical Chinese girl, beautiful like a goddess, with a sweet voice that melt my heart. To me she didn't passed away, she sings to me every day and her smile make my life more meaningful.

  • I haven't met her personally, but my neighbour who aspired to be a singer and goes to all concerts and meets every singer who comes to town, got the autograph for me.

  • thanks for posting ,first time I see english translation for chinese song, now I can under stand the songs meaning, please post more songs like this.

  • Thank you for watching! I have other clips that are subtitled and another channel that is dedicated to Teresa - channel ttliveconcert

where her Taipei concert is uploaded in its entirety and all songs and conversation are subtitled as well.

  • Hi Jeremy,

Spending a lot of time visiting ur TT Live Concert site..... wonderful... really great! Thanks for all the help with the translations. Makes a huge difference. No trips for me but my son got married end of Jan. and spent honeymoon in Bali, Singapore and Hong Kong... He lived in China for over a year during college and speaks Mandarin. For me and the wife we live quiet with the dogs. A lot of work, but fun. Hi to ur doggie.
