THE STORY OF ISHMAEL & ISAAC`
The scriptures tells us that Arabs and Jews are really half brothers. The story goes like this.
A long time ago, the Prophet Abraham was married to a woman named Sarah, and they lived in what is now modern day Israel. Now Sarah and Abraham wanted a family more than anything, but Sarah was very old and unable to bear children. So Abraham took Hagar, an Egyptian slave, as a mistress, and she had a baby boy, Ishmael, whom Abraham adored. But God had promised long ago that Abraham's wife Sarah would have a child - a boy, and even though she was very old, God kept his promise and Sarah finally gave birth to a boy - Isaac. Now Isaac was Ishmael's half brother, and as the boys grew older, they began to fight, just as brothers do. This made Sarah, Abrahams wife, very angry and so she told Abraham to send Ishmael and his mother Hagar away, claiming that Isaac was the fulfillment of a covenant with God and his true heir. This made Abraham very sad, because he loved Ishmael, and so he asked God what to do and God commanded Abraham to listen to his wife, promising him that he will protect Ishmael and Hagar. And so Abraham sent them into the desert, where they wandered for many days. Ishmael never forgave his father for sending him and his mother away. He knew that Sarah did not want him to share in the inheritance of his father. And so the descendants of Ishmael (the father of all Arabs) and Isaac (the father of all Jews) became bitter enemies, each accusing the other of stealing their Father's land. And this is why they are still fighting because each brother is jealous of the other.
