Rain tragedy in Indore: Family washed away at waterfall

A picnic turned to tragedy for a family in Indore. Five members of a family were swept away in the waterfall at Patalpani after the water level rose suddenly due to flood caused by the recent spell of rainfall.

Three persons of a family drowned at a waterfall in Patalpani near Indore on Sunday pm, police said. Five members of a family were bathing under the waterfall when they were swept away due to heavy rains. While two of them swam to safety, the otherthree drowned, PS Maravi, in-charge Bargauda police station told PTI.

While the body of Chhavi (22) has been recovered, efforts are on to trace the bodies of the other two victims identified as Chandrasekhar Rathi (51), and Modika Rathi (22), he said.
