This video is for Denzel X Marlene, when Cloud and Aeris are on screen they're being used as older versions of the two.
Story: Marlene always took care of Denzel when they were young since he had been sick with Geostigma since she met him. The two became close and near inseparable So, when Denzel disappeared, bated by a possible cure for the disease, Marlene chased after him arriving just in time to see him drink the "poison" of Kadaj's gang. She screamed for him not too, but was to late. Kadaj had erased "Denzel", the boy was nothing more than a puppet now, and vanished with Kadaj.
Years passed and the two grew up. Marlene never forgot her friend and would still run off searching on nothing more than a hunch. Denzel had grown a new personality over the years of battles and Kadaj's gang no longer had any use for the man who no longer wanted to kill. Beaten and bloodied, he escaped to Midgar, collapsing on a side street and being found by a mysteriously familiar woman. Marlene was ecstatic, though obviously concerned about his poor health, and took care of him again like she had in their childhood. She told him about what had happened since he disappeared, that she had missed him greatly, but... He didn't remember her at all.
Denzel thought the woman was insane. There was no way they could have met in the past, he had always been with Kadaj's gang. Thanking her for her help, but not believing what she said, he left. As soon as he did, he was suddenly overcome with visions of the past. A young girl with a confident attitude, the misleading of all the children, and his first look at Kadaj's gang. Being overcome, by the mental instability of his old persona crashing with his new one, he passed out waking to find Marlene kneeling over him like always. Smiling sadly she began walking away, believing that he didn't want to see her anymore. With all his memories suddenly returning to him, Denzel called out to her and she turned to face him once more.
