  • How can you do that? isn't it unstable? You must work very delicately, I suppose.

  • @monkeybss I don't know if you have noticed that my chucks are made of leather hard clay. Compare to the dry or bisque chucks, they are easy for the pot and clay balls to secure and if you need to adjust a little bit you can always trim them. After each trimming, I just dip them in the water and use plastic bags to wrap them.

  • Another excellent demonstration! I am learning a lot by watching your videos, please keep them coming.

Are you trimming the bottom part later? If you do, it would be interesting to see how.

  • @monkeybss Thanks for your comment. I have done trimming this pot the next I made it. Basically, it's the same process as trimming a small opening vase but the chuck has to be tall enough to accommodate the tall neck. In this case, I didn't have the special made chuck so I stack two chucks together.

  • This is my favorite form to throw. You rock! I love watching you work. I watch videosSat or Sunday morning on my day off to help motivate myself for Monday and yours are my favorite by far. Thankyou so much for posting.

  • I was going crazy while watching this video. This is my DREAM piece to make. It's sooooooo beautiful the way you did it, and you never rush through it. I try to make many bottles, but they are soo tiny compared to yours. I have small girlie hands, I don't think I can ever center or throw a large amount of clay :(

What I do is make a bottle like yours, and attach two handles on the side, so it looks middle eastern. The kind they pour wine out of.

  • Hsin,

I appreciate your superb talent. As for glazes, hhiave you tried crystalline glazes? Your high fire glazes are wonderful too. Thanks again for the video

  • dude dose the type of clay you use matter? when i cone up the clay just rips off... ehhhh
