Josh Middleton shows you how to play the Sylosis track Empyreal off the album Edge Of The Earth. The song can be heard at www.sylosis.com

The guitar is a Les Paul Custom Axcess. Very rare!

  • it's funny, when I first heard this song I expected Josh to be playing some esp w/emg's and some huge mesa boogie in heavy ass tunning, yet hes playing a les paul, through marshalls, and in standard tunning. Good shit Josh

  • The fact that he makes a lesson on how to play his song makes him that much fucking cooler. HIgh fucking 5!

  • wow hes is the lead guitar since 2000 and for the 2010 album he start to do main vocals .what??? he is awesome as a vocalist too

  • He recorded the solo with a guitar with a Floyd Rose trem. You can hear a flutter in the solo!

  • @inmydarkesthour100 this man is one of the best janitors ever

  • @GuitarOOOFreak dude im with you. i normally dont like to be saying oh this guy is the best or this is the best band in the world and blah anymore like when i was a teen but, damn, Josh can play the most beautiful things and really great songs in standard tuning just like that. he is definetely my favorite guitarist of them all right now.

  • Hey Josh, You are my favorite guitarist on the planet! I don't usually pick favorites in guitarist, music, bands, etc. but you sir just blow my frigging mind! I just wish I had an ounce of your talent! Your style is so unorthodox and tricky to learn which is a good thing! Just great bro! I would love to see you guys live...hopefully some day soon!!!

  • @guitarwhelp The real key is the od-808 !!!

  • love the shirt!

  • @TheXxPSYCHO There are tones that you can't achieve without active pickups, but there are more tones you can't achieve with them. There are a bundle of great high-output passive pickups on the market. Bare Knuckle pickups are amazing passive pickups, but they'll cost you. My BK Miracle Man cost me £115 and was made to order. Generally, players prefer the organic character you get from passive pickups.

  • His sweep exercise sounds a bit like a John Petrucci fill. lol
