I have a 5,500sf building in the East Bay (Richmond; on the main st, MacDonald Ave) that is getting fixed up; been empty for many years. Hmmm, anyone interest in helping create another HackerSpace? Cldupont at gmail dot...

Awesome video. It explains very well the core principles of Hackerspaces. Noisebridge is one of the hackerspaces who inspired the people who created Garoa Hacker Clube, the first Brazilian hackerspace :)

Great idea. This gives me hope for the race :-)

This is all meaningless if it's in the framework of a capitalst mode of production. Most technology is in the hands of very powerful and wealthy intertests that gain great advantage from its development. where is the sense of class struglle among these young people? We have a US army of murders blowing innocent civilians apart in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think their time could be spent resisting the dominant paradigm.

@busybuzzbuzz Well, that's sort of the idea here. We're learning and building our own things so that we control the technology, and the knowledge. We make it open (and as financially free as possible) to others, anyone can come and learn at places like this. While noisebridge as an org isn't about direct political action, there are all types of political views voiced there everyday, and many interesting projects are birthed through interactions there.
