@paul0421 I'll say Tigers would back down quicker, and also would quit fighting before injuries mount to the point where their hunting would be in jeopardy. As you said they are solitary, and rely on themselves for everything, they can't risk injury unlike a male lion who usually has a pride fighting for him. Male lions are built for fighting, tigers are not, they are built for stealth hunting. Male lions when fighting are fighting till death, or a one runs away.

@PUNKem733 I agree with what your saying but i will say that because a tiger is a solitary animal, it would have a better chance of winning only because its instinct is to go for the kill. It has to kill its food every time it wants to eat. As for a loin, in their "eat, fuck, and fight" life style food is killed for them and when fighting the goal is not to kill invading males but fight till one submits to the other. Rarely does a fight go till death. Fighting is avoided at all costs.

@lifflefield the tiger has more strength than a lion but its disadvantaged by its hight. The male african lion stands a couple of feet taller than the tiger and is more swift and intelligent than the tiger. However the tiger has longer canines 4 inches, the lion, 3 inches. It would be a very tough clash.

People always bring up tigers are bigger and stronger, so they'll win argument, and I always make the same case you are. Lions only eat, fuck, and fight. I love the comment with 53 other idiots who agree that a tiger could "easily" destroy a Male lion.

Zaaxun: yep i agree with you 100%.these big cat people are kidding themselves if they think their lion tiger etc.. wouldn't get totally DESTROYED by a 1200-1800lb Kodiak/Polar bear. if that fight takes place= DEAD KITTY !!!
