I haven't recorded many videos of the green anacondas in the Zoo's Reptile and Amphibian House because they have not been moving during the times I am there.

These two snakes are very large, although not as large as the green anacondas I have seen in some other zoos.

They are still growing, though, I think.

  • Do they ever get OUT of the pool? O_O

  • @ImpalerGirl They often go to the tree in the corner of the exhibit and curl up around the base of the tree. One used to stretch out along the ledge near the visitor viewing glass, but hasn't been doing that as much lately. Type "anaconda" in the video search box on my main page, and you will see some of the videos I have showing the anacondas in different parts of the exhibit.

  • I saw these big green fellas while I was there!! They were awesome! it almost looked like they were one huge snake. but i pointed out the two heads. ;)

  • @ImpalerGirl You are very observant. A lot of people don't notice that there are two snakes when they are in the pool together!

  • @ZooVisitorMM

the male is named "Angus" and the female is "Amanda"

  • @Herpsteen Yes, that's right. Thanks for the added information!

  • @ZooVisitorMM oh that's cool. I'll do that. :)

  • @ZooVisitorMM Well thank you! And actually, I am very observant! But it was a little 5 year old who thought it was one snakes so... i can't really take credit for that OH NEVER MIND! My mom actually thought it was one so, never mind! My friend Monica even spotted the two seperate tails! :p

  • @ryryb1999 My point was kind of what ZooVisitor pointed out. I don't think burms are dumb, they're just really common snakes to see as pets and in zoos. More variety would be more interesting.

  • @Nerdydolfin burmese pythons r NOT dumb...u should be eaten by canibals 4 saying that
