You also lose the anti virus protection from apple if you jailbreak and yes I know the feeling of unlocked items. But it's not worth the risk of voiding the warranty and restoring the iPod/ iPhone.

will you still void your varenty if you jailbreak and then upgrade to a new firmware so cydia and all that stuff disapears (or unjailbreak)

Also, security reasons, Viruses/identity theft etc. could this happen with a jailbroken iphone? I used to jailbreak my earlier versions of iphones and never had any issue but after I began to use my phone with online banking and bill paying, I'm afraid to jailbreak because of security. Am I safe? What's your opinion my friend?
