This one went right through the sweet spot, and exaclty where the crosshairs were.

Here you can see a side view of the Pigeon. When you have this shot, you must try to miss the wing, if using a pellet. The wing is strong and can reduce the energy of the pellet so dramatically that it will just injure the bird. You want to go for the breast in front of and just above the wing. That requires a very precise shot. After many practice shots at targets and with the FX Royale, I can feel confident that I have prepared enough to get a clean kill on a shot like this.

If you can't get this precise on your shots, the front or back facing target is much easier to hit the kill zone and not just wound the pigeon.

***FX Royale 500 Pellet gun used for pest control. This video is to illustrate the accuracy needed to get a clean kill on pests to avoid suffering.***

  • Have you had any issues with your 500 ? Is yours the synthetic or walnut stock? Is the 500 cc bottle removable ? Thanks.......Nice Videos ! !

  • @MaximusStimulus I have the Synthetic. No problems so far, I've only fired about 700 rounds through it. Cleaned it once. Still shoots flys. The bottle is removable and so is the barrel.

A good video is on Teds Holdover. Check out the Royale 400 review. The only difference is mine is a .25

  • @TheAirgunAssassin I currently own a synthetic Royale 400 in .22 with Hawke Optics and its a sweet shooter. I'm also interested in owning a .25 for that extra knock down power. I'm thinking either a Theoben Rapid or a F/X Royale 500. Both are similarly priced. Thanks for responding back !

  • @MaximusStimulus I could't tell you which of the 2 was a better rifle, but I can tell you that the Fx is practically flawless to this point. The only flaw I really have is it looks like a Barrett 50 cal instead of a pellet gun at 47" long.
