  • preludio quasi auto celebrativo tant'è carico ed imponente! °_°

  • Questo è quello che mi piace meno di tutti.

  • This is definitely a finale of the Opus 32 set of preludes. You can hear some hints of the other pieces in it.

At 3:36 there is a definite hint at No. 10, and at 1:24 there is a definite hint at no. 11.

Very cool stuff, Rachmaninoff. I wish you were still around to have this stuff coming...

  • Best prelude!

  • Technique abounds however the steadfast tempos make for a text-book reading; in short I fell asleep during this one, there was no chance for a lasting impression...

  • @hellomate639

At 5:14 there is a little bit hint of the finale from Op. 23 no. 2 (Bb Major).

  • I love Rachmaninov, I'm crying after listen this prelude

  • Ashkenazy is so special with Rachmaninov.

  • @hellomate639 NICE observation!! yeah i know he does that wth his symphonies and piano concerti (which is common russiansymphonic tradition), but preludes... i had no clue!! thanks!

  • Powerful!

  • Io invece assieme all'opera 23 n 4 e all'opera 32 n 12 è quello che preferisco! è la conclusione perfetta al ciclo dei 24 preludi!!
