    Before Google bought YouTube, YouTube ran fine with less ads and other shit. Sure, YouTube is a bit bigger now, but the increase of ads and other things is higher than it needs to be.

    subs700 mentioned side ads. The tru-view instream ads do produce the most revenue, but they suck shit. If they did not exist and the ads were only overlays and the ads on the side, I would not block ads. When an advert interrupts what I am watching, that's going too far. If I wanted to be forced into seeing ads, I'd just watch TV at home.
