  • It is rare to see a complete band of entirely the one regiment. They often need a handful of musicans from one of the other four regiment's bands to make up the full complement. When marching, the Drum Major leading the band is usually not from the regiment of the band that follows him. Grenadier Guards have white horse hair plumes on the left side of the bearskin, Scots Guards have no plume (Coldstream red on right, Irish blue on right, Welsh Guards white/green/white plume on left)

  • What suprises me more is: Why does the Director doesnt use a baton?

  • I think that drummer is a scot, you can see the thistle on his collar.

  • yes the bearskins can be swapped over but every individual has their own bearskin!

  • Trumpet Voluntary is what it is commonly referred to as, but Trumpet Voluntary is actually a style of organ play IINM. The actual title of the song is "The Prince of Denmark's March"

  • good eye mate!

  • Trumpet Voluntary, if i'm mistaken

  • What's the name of this song?

  • The Grens probably just borrowed him for that gig because they were short a percusionist for some reason. Could be anything!!

  • What a fraud!! I wonder if they swap over for the hell of it?
