I always liked the movies design of Green Goblin more. The armor looked cooler and more tech. I always disliked the original green goblin costume. The shiny armor goes well with his glider and makes him look stronger and fits the atmosphere of the movie.
get rid of that purple cocksock on his head and place something like a green helmet on his head, and I would have been very satisfied with this look, sorry I love the original comics Green Goblin but that purple sock on his head is a big no no.when it comes to the big screen. I do agree I LOVE the organic look of this one more in general... why the fuck didnt they go with this, seriously.
Is that Willem Dafoe in the makeup? This look is fantastic, THIS is what they should have used instead of the Power Ranger villain suit. This is more true to the source material.
The only characters where I thought the costume change made sense, were Captain America and Thor. I think Captain America's original costume would've looked pretty cheesy if you presented it that way on screen. Thor's would not have translated well either.
This would've been better. More true to the original in the comics. I hated the armor and the helmet. In fact I pretty much hated all the supposed reimaginations of characters like The Abomination in the second Hulk movie, Green Goblin, and Juggernaut in the X-men. I can take a minor tweak here and there. But all these movie people who decide they can do better than the original creations, are douches. True comics fans want the characters they loved from the comics, brought to life.
It looks awesome in its own right but I don't know if I'd wanna see something like this on film. Maybe with a hood. Looking back, the GG we got wasn't all that great either but I prefer it over putting on a mask and automatically transforming his facial structure. Only way I could see this explained is some sort of mutation. Again, looks great in its own right but (at least for me) not a finalized version.
