And as NTV's John Allan Namu reports from Bentiu, the latest training is giving a rare chance to women.

  • @muukiomuingi lol what u talking about this flag has been since 1983 and what is wrong with taking the Kenyan design i think Kenyan done more than that come people we love Kenyan......let my people go :)

and by the way that State is my State (Unity State )... & i can't wait to see the result so to all Southern Sudan people ........ REMEMBER SUNDAY 01/09/2011 & that DAY = freedom & = Right to rule yourself ...SO take YOUR FREEDOM .....and may GOD bless South Sudan

  • These guys need to hear from our lawyers. This is Intellectual Property theft. Didn't they learn its bad to steal other people's designs?

  • wish them well as they start a new nation

  • You guys have a Kenyan flag.

  • thes epeople stole our flag! Then they mixed it with Somali flag! Treason!!

Anyway who cares! If they needed a flag they should have chosen a prettier one

If I was in Kenyan govt, Id use this as a way to get closer to the South Sudan folk and "kenyanize" them. Ever heard of "Power in numbers?"

  • @wayne21026001

Endure with it since Somalis are enduring much harsher conditions.

  • They look like they are ready to make good neighbours, Kenya will def work with them as long as they seperate from Sudan

  • Their flag looks like a combination of Kenya & Somali flag!
