I had the same model and the same problem with Samsung´s so called warranty. I had enough and this piece of crap ended up at the bottom of the swimming pool. Never again any Samsung product in my house ever. I bought an Panasonic, same size and that one is 100% better in any way. Screw you Samsung.

to everybody reading, if you know a good electronic repair man,the issue half of the time is a 2 dollar capaciter that when goes bad interupts the on/ off signal. had the same issue with a 46in lcd from samsung, replaced a swolen capaciter and everything is now fine. worth a try if your no longer under warrenty to check for swolen caps on back inside panel on lcd's. not very expensive if you know the right guy to fix it , it only takes about 10 minutes to fix.

DO Not attempt to repair yourself - I raised a service request online with Samsung (UK) and a TV shop contacted me next day to arrange repair. They are obviously admitting the TV is defective as mine is over 3yrs old so well out of guarantee!

My Samsung syncmaster 711 mp power button is turning on and off, and it keeps doing that ;S
My 46 inch Samsung lcd started this clicking and quit working. You would think as much as these tvs cost that they would last more than 14 months. I was screwed and will never buy samsung again.

No video!
I have same prob. with my 37" series 5.
Listen it is overheating issue, particularly when u plug high resolution devices.
Just try to put a small fan behind TV! it is magic, it will continue working...video and audio. So it is overheating prob.
It is too late to take it back, otherwise; I would change it with Sony or Philips.
Good luck!
