In Italy arose some of the world's greatest leaders (Gaius Julius Caesar, Emperor Augustus, Cincinnatus) among the world's greatest poets (Dante, Ovid, and Virgil) were born in Italy, Italy ruled Europe for hundreds and hundreds of years and helped lay the foundations for Western Civilization, America the modern day Rome drew inspiration from Italy, so no Italy and Italians are not useless.
