Vintage Benrus Wrist Alarm watch.
The watch sports a manual movement.
The top crown sets the alarm and the bottom is for setting the time. The alarm is very loud.
The caseback has model number 6002 inscribed on it.
The watch works perfect
The caseback has minor dings because of previous use.
The dial is reminiscent of an Omega dial.
The watch measures 33.08 mm across and 41.36 mm from lug to lug.

  • Thank you for the information!

  • yes, a few things can make a watch run slow but a good cleaning & oiling is the first thing to do. That usually does the trick. Assuming the watch does not get damaged It will probably run another 100 years with a cleaning every 5 years or so. The more jewels in a watch the better because that reduces friction on the moving parts. Best regards, T.A.

  • Thanks for the reply. I inherited it. It is running slow, loses one minute every eight hours, so I took it in for a cleaning and to have it regulated. I read where if the jewels haven't been cleaned and oiled that they can cause the watch to run slow.

  • to chicagoJoe57: yes, in my opinion your 25j, 3 star Benrus is a nice watch. The Benrus watches are very under valued....probably because they made so many

  • I have a 1950's Benrus, automatic, three star, 25 jewel. Do you consider the Benrus watches made in the 1950's of good design?

  • I am a watch repairman in the USA. Of all the watches I have worked on I enjoy working on the old "Benrus" movements most. They are designed so logically and they seem to be able to take alot of abuse.
