When hell breaks out around you, then this is the piece of music to play.

It's very beautiful, but the nature of the piece is such that a bad trio will overplay it's "schmaltzy" aspects... take too long in the pauses or slow the tempo. Schubert can always be mined for kitsch if you're not careful.
