Google Plus welcomes pseudonyms! Do you trust them?

This actually started out as a Beta test a few months ago and was by invite only. They were picking people who had a lot of people in their circles. Now the chance to have a pseudonym is available to everyone, pending Google's approval.

Sorry Google, but I was suspended from Google Plus once before for violating your name policy, I am not willing to come back hoping you guys approve of me. Anonymity is something we treasure on the internet, it is not something we should have to beg for.

For your "real name", they said that you can use a fake name. They don't care if your name is fake as long as it looks like a real name. This is according to one of the employees working on Google Plus commented on the post.

I've gotten to the point where I no longer give a fuck who has what information on me. Every product I look up shows up on the YouTube screen during videos trying to get me to buy it. Amazon has my wishlist, which is public. I voluntarily give out my intimate information on Facebook for all to see. Hell, if you like I'll jerk off and wipe my ass in extreme close-up. I'm beyond giving a shit what anybody thinks. I don't kill or steal....fuck everything and everyone else. Enjoy the fucking show!

Facebook does the same shit. They totally let you use pseudonyms now. What's the dif? Other than google doesn't sell your personal information

I created an account for gmail when it was invitation only, then created one with my real name for job applications, Google forced me to make another one for YouTube. So I may be forced to make another one for G+. All this work to keep Google's unified one login to work the way I want it to. Still a PITA to get my email on one account, Youtube logged in another account, my collage calender on another account. And not have their servers give me a b****h fit about what is logged in where.

I'd give it another try. Use HappyCabbie as your real name and submit an appeal. See if your YouTube channel alone is enough proof.

If I made videos and had a following on YouTube, I'd definitely have a facebook, twitter, and/or Google+ to communicate with my viewer.

@HappyCabbie, in your case, since you want to use HappyCabbie, I guess you'd need to get approved. You can use a pseudonym now without getting approved but you'd have to have it displayed along with your real name.
