10. Jingles all the way- Thanks to our unforgettable acronym and song, people started to remember our slate... And thanks to all the candidates' jingles being played over and over—AND OVER—again, na-memorize na namin ang mga lyrics nina Noy, Mar, at SLAMAT LORRRD. And when all of us were tired from the gruelling roadtrip, the jingles served as our lullabye as we slept on the bus.
9. Baller Fever -- The campaign made us obsessed with baller IDs, and we spent a lot of effort acquiring and trading all the yellow baller IDs we could get our hands on. Kahit mapuno na ang kamay natin sa baller IDs ng mga candidates, we couldn't care less. Add to that ang panghaharang ng mga tao makukulit na gustong angkinin ang mga ballers natin. Sobrang effort para hindi hablutin pati ang mga kamay at braso natin.
8. 3 Minutes and Time's Up!- Dito allergic ang ating mga senatoriables. Kapag nakikita na nila si Yvette sa tapat ng stage, kahit ayaw nila siyang pansinin, no way na 'di mo siya makita with her ever-reliable and infamous plaque card na may nakasulat na TIME's UP!
7. KFC to death- Sabi ng iba, nakakapagpapayat daw ang campaign. But NOT when you're eating KFC 24/7 and stuffing yourself with calories from deep, fat-fried chicken. Pretty soon, we started craving for good ol' lutong bahay and our favourite meals cooked from our own kitchens. Pero enjoy at masarap siya ha...Finger lickin' good! Hehehe...^_^
6. Running through motorcades- At dahil may KFC at calories, kailangan meron ring jogging to burn the fat. Many of us spent countless hours under the scorching heat of the sun, baking ourselves and soaking in sweat. At paminsan, you will find Sir Renan directing traffic in the middle of the road. Mahirap pala talaga makipaghabulan at patintero sa sasakyan. Great line!
5. Chopper and private plane rides - Due to the hectic schedule of our candidates, it was necessary for them to get to their destinations on time, thus, riding choppers or even private planes has become essential. Who would ever forget the zero visibility sa Loakan Airport sa Baguio last March, where the SLAMAT LORRRD, together with Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, had to go back to Manila dahil hindi makapag-land ang private plane nila? Stressed ang lahat at kabado pero SLAMAT LORRRD at SAFE sila! ^_^
4. Davao City motorcade- The spine-tingling motorcade in Davao City was truly a sight to behold. It was recorded as the longest motorcade in the province, where half of Davao City's population lined up the street to witness Noy, Mar and the SLAMAT LORRRD's motorcade. More or less 500 vehicles also joined to give solid support to our slate.
3. Extreme weather , hunger, dehydration, sleep deprivation, and short-term memory loss. Long motorcades under the heat of the sun, giving speeches while the rain was pouring, early call times and late sleeping hours really took its toll on us, especially on our candidates. Sometimes, our senatoriables would say that they've already lost track of the date, place, or time dahil sobrang fast-paced ang lahat. Nakakapag pa-amnesia rin pala ang campaign. Hehehe
2. RV, LP, and Spyder -- We travelled thousands of miles through numerous provinces around the country, proudly riding our buses RV, LP, and Spyder. We were the most colourful and hippest campaign in town, and once we stepped off our buses we would feel like rock stars waving to our fans. Sometimes, we would feel a connection with our buses, too, like they were our home away from home.
1. The warm welcomes we received everywhere in the country and the support of the Filipino people. The best part of every sortie would always be arriving at our destination to the warm welcomes of our fellow Filipinos. Kapag nakikita na namin ang mga supporters at ang mga audience na kumakaway at nagbibilad rin sa araw o nagpupuyat para lang mapakita ang suporta sa SLAMAT LORRRD, napapawi ang pagod namin. It's those moments when you see people feeling hopeful again when you realize that, in spite of all the challenges, this was really a campaign that rocked the vote and made people believe again.
