NetApp and VMware collaborated to build a 50,000-seat virtual desktop infrastructure reference architecture that easily scales without sacrificing performance.

Customers are always looking for proof points and hands-on expertise in large scale architectures that will help them design their own VDI deployment successfully.

  • leishirsute, these are all great questions and many if not all of them will be addressed in an upcoming paper... This video was to show the collaboration between the 5 companies , NetApp, Cisco, VMware, Fujitsu and Wyse and that we are working on building a reference architecture. We are still in the process of finalalizing all the details and running a couple of last tests before we publish the RA. So stay tuned as more will be coming to answer your questions!

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • Where is the independent validation?

How long did it take to deploy?

How much storage did it require compared to competitive storage.

I don't hear any message here that other vendors don't also claim.

    What is unique differentiation?

I expected more meat in this presentation.

  • Wow, that is impressive.
