This video was recorded live at a recital I gave last summer at the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam. This organ, by Vater/Müller, is in need of restoration. You can see how stiff some of the stops are to pull. The key action is also a challenge. Enjoy! www.josephripka.com

Did you also see and play the carillon in this beautifull Old church? You are a fine organist but organists just play for the vault in church. Carillonplayers play for the sky. Go on and start learning to play a carillon. See recordings on Youtube of this: especialy the Passacaglia played on the Westertoren in Amsterdam by Boudewijn Zwart. He is my favourit. I think you will become one of my favourits in organperforming. Come back to the Netherlands for concerts again!

This instrument is known by all the Dutch organists specially for it's very heavy-goïng key- and stop-action; however the reward is what you get back in quality of sound.

Great performance! This is not a very well-known piece, but it is wonderful!
By the way, the name of the church should be spelled Oude Kerk, not Oudekerk.
