@VaultMasterDBT I Think Both Wally And Ed Left On Their Own Terms, Because They Probably Had Reached Retirement Age. On Another Note, ABC Hardly Ever Uses Booth Announces To The Present Day. They Now Use Hollywood VO's To Cut Their Promotions, I Don't Mind That. But At Times It's Sad To These That Those Days Of Booth Announcing Are Almost Gone.

Another fact I have noticed is that after senior ABC announcer George Ansbro retired in January 1990, the network seemed to do a "clean sweep" in their announcing roster. Both Ed Jordan and Wally Parker, who rotated throughout ABC's entire broadcast day, were also departed from the network in the same year (whether they were fired or that they left on their own terms, I'm not sure).

Just looked..yes indeed, he states that's he's been with ABC since October 1987. "Staff announcer" is the only role listed for his ABC employment. Would he have been a live booth announcer in the early morning periods, such as during ABC World News This Morning (the predecessor to World News Now)? Bill Rice usually handled the intros, commercial transitions and outro of 'This Morning', so I'm at a loss on this one. As for Ken, I knew of his years at WPAT-AM, where ABC apparently hired him from.

He has a LinkedIn now? I never found one the last time I did research on him. Ken's voice didn't first surface on air until 1990 (briefly in weekend primetime periods, and then in daytime starting in August 1990) so I wonder what he would have been doing at ABC for the three years leading up to that?

That's almost as if you heard announcer Ken Lamb, the younger staff announcer who came to ABC in the summer of 1990 (and who succeded Bill Rice as chief announcer in 2008) announcing on a Ryan's Hope broadcast..something that never ended up happening!

I guess I'd never really put 2 and 2 together that "Ryan's Hope" was still on the air when "Roseanne" debuted... barely, but that's interesting.
