@ericaschot The song was written by Steve Earl (American) though :P So it's an American song being sung by an Irish guy which featured in a movie about an Irish guy played by a Scotsman lol

@ericaschot Well he was born in Seattle, to American parents. And its not out of the possibility that his great great great grandparents where scottish, Americans tend to cling to the past like that, not sure why.

@hetraceashainkek uhmmm okay I checked it out again today and on our Wiki page it says that he is Scottish (I'm from the Netherlands). Anyways, got it wrong then, however I did find on another page the following words (IMDB); He is of primarily Scottish heritage... So I don't know anymore, song's great though...
