O Come Emmanuel - Sight-reading Session

Since Danny uploaded one of our brutal sightreading sessions I figured I'd jump on that train too. Here's "O Come O Come Emmanuel", an arrangement we'd heard before but not really sung. I was singing bass for this one (I know, awful but at least it's quiet lol) and a good friend of ours Kevin was on baritone, ergo:

Danny Fong (daniscool99): Tenor
Brodie Cuff (brodiecuff): Lead
Kevin Hyland: Baritone
Me: Bass

It sure is fun to be able to read through pieces like this. I reckon that those Youtube viewers familiar with my barbershop quartet Rendezvous might find something like this interesting to watch.

And what are you talking about Kesler, you're a decent fill-in bass. and I don't think I have to say how super clean Bro-D was in this one. You guys should definitely practice this one for next year christmas. That bari was pretty good too. is he a bhs'er? seemed like he's had history in harmony

Kevin the baritone looks almost exactly like Patrick Claypool from OCtimes haha, it's hilarious. Yeah was actually the quartet's original baritone back in high school when they were known as "Mixed Nuts" singing a capella tunes.

I have a quartet that does a lot of the same stuff as you guys. We actually transcribed the arrangement you guys did of Go the Distance and it's starting to really sound great. This is a great arrangement, and I was wondering where you got the sheet music, and if you could possibly send it to me. I wish we could sight read like this haha. Awesome job.

Absolutely incredible!!! I'd say it was amazing even if I didn't know you were sight reading it, but because you were, it's even more amazing!! Seriously, sight reading is really difficult, you guys did a fabulous job :-)
