Methamphetamine has reached epidemic status on the Navajo Nation within the past two years. Up close and personal interviews with Navajo methamphetamine addicts and recovering addicts allow the viewer to see and hear the painful stories these people have to tell about their addiction to the drug. Additional interviews with Tuba City Senior Criminal Investigator Greg Adair, Indian Health Service Doctor Thomas J. Drewhard, and Navajo Nation Vice President Frank Dayish, Jr., bring a more in-depth view of how methamphetamine is affecting the communities, families, and people of the Navajo Nation.

  • People are so uneducated when they say meth is the worst or most dangerous drug in the world. Ever heard of alcohol? Alcohol is by FAR the most dangerous substance ever discovered, and always will be. That's not opinion, that is absolute fact. Do the research.

  • Yea im the same as mhotl...and meth is the worst drug on the planet....followed by heroin, crack, and pcp...

  • WTF is that bum who breaks windows on the Andy Griffith show dong acting @ 5:34I thought he retired.

  • get informed, before commenting, please!

  • well, if you want to look like that guy in this video that is worming over himself (5:37) cos he has brain damage from using meth, then you should use it. and alcohol is bad too..very bad...people look terrible and lead horrific lives when addicted. its not about whats worse, they are both horrific. what can be so hard to understand here???

  • "Just because the media focuses on meth doesn't make it a worse drug."

trust me, it's not the media telling me that it's worse than anything, it's all the people i know who do it, when i watch them do the things they do to get it. the media tells me nothing.

  • Look, I never said that meth WASN'T a dangerous drug. It's just that it's not worse than alcohol. Alcohol ruins far more lives and kills more people every day than ALL OTHER drugs combined. Just because the media focuses on meth doesn't make it a worse drug.

  • you've never used? has any of your family? what you read in books and on the internet and elsewhere won't tell you anything compared to watching immediate family members and close friends ruin themselves with that stuff, again i say i live in the meth capital of the US. in the midwest, MO. here, it is everywhere, i have known people who use it, cook it, sell it. the media has not just recently decided to do anything. if you can't see the damage it does, then you are blind.

  • No, I'm not a user, just an educated individual that can see past the media's bullshit. Crystal meth has been around since the 1960's, yet the media has only recently decided to demonize it.

  • wow, you're angry over drugs, and defending it. must be using it yourself, users usually do that. i have witnessed the damage of meth, i live in the meth capital of the us, i tears your soul away from you....not joking...

  • i concur wholeheartedly..

  • do you have any idea what meth does to the human body? i agree that alcohol is a more wide spred abused drug. however it is not even close to the damage meth can cause.
