Panthers @ Falcons Review (Rant) -- Week 6

Well, that was our worst loss of the season... sorry there's no intro and fancy animations for this vid, but I've been really busy. I think it's time we lower our expectations for wins this season. I predicted we were going to be a 6-10 football team before the season and I think that's about where we'll end up. I'm just hoping this team starts to "get it" soon. There are holes on this team that need to be patched before we move forward.

@panthersroar89 I think the defense as a whole needs to improve greatly... we stopped the run fairly well against the Saints, but our secondary still got picked clean. Really, it has just been up to each team so far how they've wanted to gain yardage on our defense. Gotta start forcing more turnovers, too.

The pick on the screen pass was crazy. I don't understand why we passed right after a solid run for the 1st. They do keep shying away from that too much. However the season ends I'm like you I didn't expect the playoffs. We should use our first pick for a linebacker or corner, but that's my opinion. I'm sure they'll work on the d and maybe tweak the offense and then watch out!

@BLite18 They definitely have to stick to the running game a little more... it has been working... don't understand why they don't use it. In today's league a screen pass is essentially a modified run play, but they can't happen that way, of course.

The problem is.. WE are an easy team to beat. WE can not stop the run so the trick for opposing offenses is to simply keep the ball on the ground eat up the clock SCORE and keep our offense off the field. That is really it, it is that simple. Go ahead and expect opposing coaches to come in running all over us as Shanahan will try to do this Sunday. Bottom line is.. we don't stop the run we won't win games and NO offense can make up for that Cam or no Cam simply because they won't have time to.

@panthersXyankees89 We moved the ball very well in the first half, but it sputtered for most of the second. It wasn't a horrible game by Cam, but comparing it to the standards he's set in the first five games of the season, it was a letdown. I still think we need to stick to the run game a little more... open up those defenses.

@EazyE1987 Patience is so tough when you know the team has the talent, but they just can't stop stumbling over their own feet long enough to win games. It will come eventually... the sooner, the better.

@Tarheels0989 That initially looked like a really good idea, but as time went on I didn't think too much of making that move. He would've been looking for a big pay day after the season, and I'm not so sure he would be worth that. I mean, with the playoffs not happening for us this season, we didn't really need a guy that we probably would only have for this season.
