@TheWarrior124 First of all, he stole his Dean Douglas persona off of me,when in the day, I posted as the prof. jr.My class dismissed ending was even used.He tried to be another Flair,never an original.Was a big mouth, a medium size fish in a very small pond.Bath tub actually.Ecw [stars?] for the most part ,couldn't even draw a decent pay check, sadly,because they put themselves out there,took a beating,Had Shame been able to play the 'game' he may had been a mid card star,maybe,at best!

@kgp8 Russo had one of the most famous shoot promos ever when they did that whole thing with Hogan and Jarrett where Jarrett came down to the ring, laid down, and Hogan pinned him with his foot. Then Russo came down and chewed Hogan out, which led to a lawsuit against Russo in real life.

@kgp8 Most of the stuff was in WCW.Both guys made shoot comments but mixed them in with their regular promos, they were typically over most fans heads, which is why they didn't register with a lot of fans.WCW had a lot of shoot stuff but they typically weren't very good. In one episode on Nitro,Bagwell/Riggs were going over their match in the backstage, Bagwell says you're going over 1-2-3. Then when the match happened Bagwell small packaged him for the win and sold it like a doublecross.

@HGeneAnthony Oh, when I see Jarrett or Douglas shoot a promo, it felt real and controversial. I don't remember Russo or Nash's shoot promo from any wrestling association. I just remember Jeff Jarrett's and Dustin Runnell's shoot during WWF programming. Obviously, probably my fav. shoot promo is Shane's shoot promo from ECW and Hardcore Homecoming.

@TheJukeboxjim this is wrestling, it doesn't always matter how good you are, it matters how well you're pushed. CM Punk was almost let go a couple of times and Vince used to mock the Anaconda Vice in the back. He only got over because he got a chance to at the end. Austin was given a shit gimmick as well when he came in and if it wasn't for the Curtain Call he would have never won KOTR which led to his epic promo. Some people get the chance and some don't.
