@richanderica but stephen is right, all FE engines, even my 390 and the 427 and 428 FE's were all considered medium block engines by ford.
-
@richanderica actually FE means Ford-Edsel. it was an engine shared by the Ford and some Edsel lines of cars at the time of inception. Another engine options were MEL (mercury, edsel, lincoln) V8's specially for those cars. Ford always had their own engine design for their line of cars until the mid 60's when they started sharing a common powerplant.

@BurgerChefGuy Yep, that's the one--a '67 Galaxie. Maybe the first season was a Galaxie after all and not a Starliner like I thought. In any case, the old 60s Fords were a class act.
-
@BurgerChefGuy I think a '67 Custom 500 was used for the last season or so before it became Mayberry RFD.
-
The first car used on the show was an old Starliner. I'm pretty sure the next three were various year Galaxies. There may have been a fifth car used, as well? But I am sure of four.

I am the current owner of this car. I have smaller hubcaps on it and the tires do not have white walls.
352 is not a big block. It is a FE block.
