MD Beyond Oasis (The Story of Thor)

One of my favorite Megadrive action-adventures and a superb game. Its an amazing graphical feat on the Megadrive, It almost reminds me of a top-down Alladin, animation wise. And music wise, we have a OST by Yuzo Koshiro, so no complains there either. The story begins when Ali (our character) discovers an ancient Gold Armlet that has the power to Summon and control the 4 elemental spirits (water, fire, shadow and plant) in a struggle agaisn the owner of the Silver Armlet. A "sequel" was released inb 1996 for the Sega Saturn, but it is in truth, a prequel storywise. I was very pleased to see this title come up on the Wii's Virtual Console games list.

Yeah man, we had sega vision where I lived and that's where I discovered this game so many years ago. What a great time, totally remember playing road rash for hours on sega vision!

Not sure if you guys are about my age but when I was a kid cable vision had something called the sega channel.. And man I loved it thats where I played this game.. Not I have it on my old hacked xbox......... my 4 year old is playing it... I'm only 29 if your wondering and yes today Oct 27 is my birthday....

I remember finding this game by fluke and renting it just to try it. Turned out to be the best game I played on the genesis!

I had the console and I never played it neither heard about this game. I remember I played this game with the old emulator Kgen98 in my first computer. Such a good times.

This game was EPIC. It's one of the best adventure games ever. Totally recomended. :D

Why was this game ever called 'Story of Thor'? It doesn't look Norse at all, it looks Arabian.

Anyone here who's a sega fan deff needs to pick up sonic's ultimate genesis collection. It has so many of these old games plus you can smooth them out and put them in widescreen (but only if you really want to)
